The local high school band director organized a band from several county high schools to perform in concert and march in the 2006 New Years Parade in London.
They were there for almost a week. The pictures following are some of sights they got to enjoy.


The view on the right shows a pair of "murder holes". These were placed in key locations around the castle, like near gates. Then when attackers got too close things like boiling water, heated sand and/or flaming liquids would be dropped down on the attackers. Burning sand had the advantage of getting under the armor.
Imagine being boiled alive inside ones shinning armour.
The site is currently owned by the Tussaud's group, which owns the wax museum Madam Tussard's in London as well.

William the Conqueror really gets the ball rolling in 1066. The first Earl of Warwick is appointed by him in 1088
By 1431 it is the then current Earl that supervises the trial of Joan of Ark, who is in turn burned at the steak.
