Each year high school students from across the state sit for and submit auditions to perform at Mackey Auditorium in Boulder, Colorado to perform with the All State Orchestra. The finest high school musicans from across the state are selected, then come to Boulder and over parts or all of three days prepare a first class concert under guiding hand of a guest conductor.
The concert is in two parts a) All State String Orchestra this year under the baton of Ida Steadman and b) Colorado All State Orchestra this year under the baton of Steven Amundson of St. Olaf College.
