Two of the smaller residents of the national park are on this page. To the right is the pika. This small rodent can be very vocal making his call which can be heard for some distance. This was just off Trail Ridge Road way above tree line.
On the bottom is a sandpiper. This was one of several hunting among the rocks for something good to snack on. This was above tree line along a path near the Rock Cut turnout.
